शिक्षा मंत्रालय के अनुसार पिछले वर्ष देश भर में 65 लाख से अधिक छात्र कक्षा 10वीं और 12वीं की बोर्ड परीक्षा पास करने में असफल रहे। छात्रों के समग्र प्रदर्शन में पिछले वर्ष की तुलना में गिरावट आई है। सरकारी स्कूलों में कक्षा 10वीं और 12वीं की बोर्ड परीक्षा में लड़कों की तुलना में लड़कियां अधिक संख्या में शामिल हुईं।

PTI, New Delhi. The Ministry of Education has released very surprising figures regarding the passing and failing of students in the board examinations. According to the Education Ministry, more than 65 lakh students across the country failed to clear the Class 10th and 12th board exams last year. The failure rate was higher in state boards than in central boards.

Education ministry officials said an analysis of Class 10 and 12 results of 59 school boards, including 56 state boards and three national boards, showed that more girls appeared in the Class 12 exams in government schools. But the situation is opposite in private and government-aided schools. Overall, the difference in pass percentage even in schools with different management is in favor of girls.

शिक्षा मंत्रालय के एक वरिष्ठ अधिकारी ने कहा कि कक्षा 10 के लगभग 33.5 लाख छात्र अगली कक्षा तक नहीं पहुंच पाए। जबकि 5.5 लाख उम्मीदवार उपस्थित नहीं हुए, 28 लाख असफल रहे। इसी तरह, 12वीं कक्षा के लगभग 32.4 लाख छात्रों ने ग्रेड पूरा नहीं किया। जबकि 5.2 लाख उपस्थित नहीं हुए, 27.2 लाख असफल रहे।
A senior official of the Education Ministry said that about 33.5 lakh students of class 10 could not reach the next class. While 5.5 lakh candidates did not appear, 28 lakh failed. Highest number of students failed in 10th class in Madhya Pradesh
The number of students failing in class 10th was highest in Madhya Pradesh Board, followed by Bihar and UP. Whereas the highest number of students failing in class 12th was reported from Uttar Pradesh followed by Madhya Pradesh.।
The official said that the overall performance of students in 2023 has declined compared to last year. This may be due to the larger syllabus for the exam. Girls appeared in greater numbers than boys in the class 10th and 12th board exams in government schools.।।
