DU Admissions 2017 : Delhi University is ready to begin the
application process for its newly launched five-year integrated Journalism
course at the newly established ‘Delhi School of Journalism’ from Now.
This is also a good chance for all those students who
couldn’t get admission in the university and for those who couldn’t get
admission in the course of their choice.
The last date of submission of application forms is 3rd
September 2017.
The admission will be done through a national-level entrance
test which will be conducted on 17th September 2017.
As reported by TOI, the five-year integrated bachelor of
journalism and master of journalism at Delhi School of Journalism is going to
be offered in both Hindi and English, with an intake of 60 in English and 60 in
Hindi.
DU's Delhi School of Journalism is starting from this
teaching session. It will start online registration for a 5 year integrated
course from Now. The school's OSD Dr. Manaswini M. Yogi informed that at
present the course will run on self finance mode. The details of the course
structure of the course will be given on Today. Delhi School of Journalism will
run from CIC Building, Sports Complex, North Campus.
According to DU sources, its tuition fees of one semester
can be up to 25 to 30 thousand rupees. However OSD Dr. Manaswini told that the
fee is not like the fee structure of the DU but not much.
Let us know that this course will be taught in both Hindi
and English and Admission will be done through National Level Entrance Test.
60-60 students will be admitted in both batches. Students can apply till
September 8 for this course. Its entrance test will be held on 17th September.
Educational qualifications:
All the candidates interested in applying need to possess at
least 50 per cent in aggregate from a recognised institute/university.
Application fee:
Candidates from General category need to pay Rs 500 while
SC/ST applicants need to pay Rs 250.
About entrance examination:
The entrance in English will be held from 9 am to 11 am
while the one in Hindi will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm.

- Submit the application

- High School certificate (as a proof of date of birth)
- Class 12th Marksheet (downloaded copy of marksheet should be uploaded, in case Marksheet is not issued by the Board)
- Caste certificate(s), if applicable
- Income certificate (for non-creamy layer), if applicable
- Sports certificate(s) for last three years, if applicable
- Scanned signature of the candidate
- Scanned photograph of the candidate (passport size)
More About Course :
- The test will examine the candidate’s proficiency in general knowledge, current affairs, and analytical and comprehension skills.
- Being an integrated course — three years of bachelors and two years of masters — students have the option to exit after three years.
- The integrated course will give 50 per cent credit weightage to classroom lectures and another 50 per cent to assignments/projects and internships.
- The five-year programme includes teaching of four foreign languages – Arabic, Chinese, Spanish and French. There will be two regional languages as well – Tamil and Bengali. Students will have to learn one foreign and one regional language in the 10 semesters.
- “If there are vacant seats after three years, new students will be allowed to apply for an entrance test for the Post Graduation course,” said Manasvini M Yogi, officer on special duty (OSD), Delhi School of Journalism in recent HT report.
The classes are expected to begin from 26th September 2017.
